Her Mindful Birth - Services

 Prenatal & Postnatal Debrief

Reflections, written and verbal, can often relief tension and bring us closer to our core needs and principles. Pregnancy can be a time of both excitement and uncertainty. A debrief offers an opportunity to address any feelings or thoughts about pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. Post-birth. the debrief can help you process and reflect on your birth experience. Boosting your restfulness & confidence as a mother.

Postnatal Preferences & Preparation

All babies and mothers are different, but we all have core needs & principles. Let's set up your postnatal environment & support system. Line up family, friends, neighbours, meal delivery services or dog walkers. This is a great time to express your wishes and plan your self care.  Let's create a list of third parties who can support your maternal health, wellbeing and healing. Connect to networks, groups, other moms and professionals, that can provide you with practical help & support but also community.  Prep yourself to take care of you. Together we brief your postpartum self.

Yoga for Symptom Relief & Recovery

Learn to self sooth your body, mind, and your baby. Move, breathe and visualise. Alone or together. Online of offline. Your way. Based on your individual needs we will create a practice you can use on a daily basis that offers support and relief of prenatal & postnatal symptoms. Movement, yoga, meditation and breath work. Or get creative with vision boards, journalling or arts & crafts. Your practice can be delivered as a live session, a recorded video or a written exercise. Private or in a group.

Active Birth Preperation

By practicing Active Birth tools we can establish trust, calm and resilience in our body & mind to help us transition through birth, into motherhood. Based on your individual needs, we learn to utilise comfort measures, birth props, coping mechanisms, beneficial birthing positions, breathing and meditation techniques, visualisation, journaling or other preferred routines. You can practice these rituals during pregnancy and labour at home, in a birthing centre or in the hospital, with your birth partner, doula or midwife.

Birth Preferences
& Resources

Planning for the unknown, is that even possible? Birth consists of a beautiful ebb and flow. Knowing, questioning and discussing your options can often give a peace of mind.   Talking to other moms or third parties in your area can also be helpful. Mothers Shore is founder of the SCD Maternal Wellness Work Network and happy to connect you. When the mind is starting to unwind, we often don't feel like diving into research. Any Evidence Based information you need to support your preferences, can be provided.

Holistic Birth Support

As a birth doula, I offer emotional and physical non-medical support for you and your partner. Based on your individual needs the goal is for you to feel calm and confident. I will support with your positioning, movement, massage and breathing techniques, to help you optimise & accommodate the intelligent work of your hormones, sensations, body, and your baby; evidence based information about the labor and delivery process, helping you and your partner to make informed decisions; supporting you to stay connected to- and express your core needs & principles.
